Purpose and field of application:

The technology of assembling and testing of powerful single laser diodes (LDs) and laser diode arrays (LDAs) is developed. Single LDs are used in the IR laser projector developed in JSC "Peleng" together with IP NASB. The projector allows to observe at night objects on distances up to 1300 m. All previous models had range of night supervision no more than 800 m. LDs and LDAs are used in blocks of diode pumping for longitudinal and transversal excitation geometries, accordingly. LDs are used at creation of systems of support of controlled mobile objects on a laser beam, for micromarks.

Technical characteristics:

Single LDs:
Wavelength of radiation: 0,8 – 1,06 µm (depending on heterostructure type)
Output power: up to 3 W in a continuous mode of generation
Range of working temperatures: from –50 äî +60 0Ń

Laser diode arrays:
Wavelength of radiation: 0,98 µm (depending on heterostructure type)
Output power: to 100 W in a pulse mode (duration of a pulse up to 7 ms)
